Mickey Mantle
This is a truly outstanding example of Hall-of-Fame slugger Mickey Mantle's 1953 Topps issue. Pictured in his third season with the Yankees, Mantle went on to enjoy an 18 year career with the New York franchise. During his remarkable tenure, he accumulated three MVP awards, one Triple Crown, 20 All-Star appearances, and seven World Series Championships. Along with Babe Ruth and Ty Cobb, Mantle is one of the three most popular figures in the sports collectibles field.
Graded NM/MT 88 by SGC, this card is absolutely perfectly centered. It has creamy-white borders, sharp corners, amazingly clear print quality, and blazing original color and gloss. Mantle's portrait is well-focused and beautifully colored. All things considered, one of the most eye-appealing '53 Topps Mantles I've seen.
